Let it be Podcast

"To share the goodness of people and connect one another. Finding hope through learned wisdoms, understanding, and sincere conversation."

Sometimes, it feels like life pulls us in so many directions, and it’s easy to forget that it’s okay to be imperfect or broken. Allowing ourselves the space to heal, to just be, or to ask for support when we need it can really be a powerful step forward. HOPE is one of the most important gifts we can give ourselves and others.Let It Be Podcast is a raw, honest exploration of everything from faith and family to forgiveness and second chances. Sometimes they disagree. Sometimes they laugh until they cry. But they always keep it real. They also welcome guests with powerful stories and lived experiences—voices that challenge, uplift, and open hearts. Because at its core, Let It Be isn’t just about two people rebuilding a relationship. It’s about creating space for truth, connection, and the quiet strength of letting go.

Together, Ruthe and Tim represent two very different experiences of family, loss, and meaning—and that’s exactly what makes Let It Be so real. In many ways, this podcast is sibling therapy—wrapped in humor, honesty, and a whole lot of heart. After months of preparation, reflection, and real work, Ruthe and Tim are ready. This podcast is their second chance—and an open invitation for you to be part of the conversation.

We all carry wisdom from our journeys, and sharing that can lighten someone else’s load in ways we may never fully know. Just a little encouragement can spark something bigger than we realize. How do you find hope when you need it most?

I’m a former business owner, beauty school dropout, and flight attendant—and most importantly, a mom whose life has been shaped by both love and loss.

I’ve lost two of my children: my son, Garrett, who passed away at just 13 days old, and my 15-year-old daughter, Karla, who died from brain cancer. Their lives—and their losses—have profoundly shaped my purpose. In Karla’s memory, I lived and led a nonprofit for almost 20 years, offering support and compassion to families navigating childhood cancer. The work we did and the people we touched continue to inspire me every day.

I’m also the proud mom of two sons, Brandon and Cole, who, despite losing their sister at such a young age, continue to inspire me with their resilience, creativity, and strength. After a fairly recent across-county relocation, I’m fully dedicated to being present for my boys as we grow and heal together. I’ve been married for 28 years to my incredible husband, Michael, whose love and support have been my steady foundation.

I was adopted at three months old, and that part of my story has given me a deep appreciation for the power of unconditional love and second chances. I believe it’s shaped how I see the world and how I connect with others through empathy and grace.

You’ll often find me in the garden, where I believe God meets me in the dirt. I also love experimenting in the kitchen, sipping a good cup of coffee, and indulging in a delicious cocktail.

I’m stepping into my next assignment as a podcast host, ready to share stories of hope, faith, and purpose. Through my book, Never Give Up, and my speaking, I strive to let God’s light shine through me and encourage others to keep going, no matter the trial.

Raised in the lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for nature and hands-on work. I’m happily married to my wife, Bethany, and we share our home with our energetic husky, Gordie.

When I’m not exercising or working in the garden—my favorite way to unwind—you’ll probably find me building something new or bringing old things back to life, especially classic cars. I believe there's nothing more satisfying than getting your hands dirty and creating something lasting.

One of the simple joys in my life is sharing plants and garden starts with my neighbors—there’s something special about watching a community grow, both literally and figuratively. I also love taking daily walks through the park next to our house, which winds its way down to the Puget Sound. Whether it’s a foggy morning or a golden sunset, being near the water and among the trees keeps me grounded and inspired.

I’ve always been a coach and a teacher at heart, and that passion has carried through my career. I’ve spent the last 15 years with PCC Community Markets—the largest Certified Organic grocery co-op in the nation—where I currently serve as a Director of Operations. My work focuses on supporting and mentoring Store Leaders, helping them grow their teams and strengthen their communities. It’s a role that allows me to blend leadership, purpose,
and service—values that have guided me throughout my life.
